REPEAL “No Jab, No Pay”
In 2015, the conscientious objection and religious exemptions were removed from the childhood immunisation requirements for eligibility for the Family Tax Benefit-A supplement, Child Care Benefit, Child Care Rebate and now the Child Care subsidy under so called” No Jab, No Pay” laws.
Under the current No Jab No Pay laws, Australian parents cannot question, they cannot object. They must comply or be refused financial assistance.
I have introduced a Private Senator’s Bill known as the A New Tax System (Family Assistance) Amendment (No Jab No Pay Repeal) Bill 2025 which seeks to restore freedom of choice for concerned parents while addressing the financial pressures placed on conscientious objectors by reversing the 2015 No Jab, No Pay changes to childhood immunisation requirements.
My Bill seeks to address the infringement on the rights of parents to determine what is best for their children and under my proposed changes, conscientious objectors would once again qualify for financial assistance.
My Bill reinstates the definition of conscientious objection in relation to personal, philosophical, religious or medical beliefs.
Enough is enough. Australians should not be coerced by government into making decisions about the health of their children.
